South Australia's Consumer and Business Services (CBS) regulates registration and licensing for trade work

Types of Licences

Building Contractor Licence – With this licence, you can contract for work. You are only allowed to carry out the categories of work that are listed on the licence.

Building Work Supervisor Registration – This allows authorises you supervise general building work.

Requirements

You must have the following to apply for the licence:

    1. Current qualifications (Certificate III in Carpentry)
    2. Sufficient experience and industry knowledge
    3. Adequate financial resources
    4. Relevant experience
