NSW Government Fair Trading provides licences for carpentry and other trade works.
There are 3 types of Carpentry licences in NSW:
The application for a licence must be lodged in person at a Service NSW centre.
To get a licence, you must have one the following qualifications:
CPC30211/ CPC30208/ BCG30203 Certificate III in Carpentry
or
CPC32011/ CPC32008 Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery
or
BCG30798 Certificate III in General Construction (Carpentry — Framework/Formwork/Finishing), TAFE course #7078
or
Qualification 10888 Certificate Ill in General Construction (Carpentry)- Housing — Trade TAFE Course #2192
or
Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery Trade TAFE Course #2149
or
Certificate Ill in Carpentry and Joinery Trade TAFE Course #5158.
