Certificate III in Painting and Decorating
CPC30611
This course gives you hands-on skills and knowledge that empowers you to do a wide scope of undertakings in the painting and decorating industry. You will learn practical aptitudes, for example, preparing surfaces, applying paint by brushes, rollers and, spray guns, hanging wallpaper, and making highlight walls.
The qualification has core competency requirements covering common skills for the construction industry, as well as two specialist work areas. The construction industry strongly affirms that training and assessment leading to the recognition of skills must be carried out in a real or very closely simulated workplace environment and this qualification requires all competency units to be provided in this context.
Before entering a construction site, it is necessary for the complementary general induction training programme specified by the National Code of Practice for Construct Work Induction Training (ASCC 2007), to complete the CPCCOHS1001A unit achievement.
