The CHC51015 - Diploma of Counselling is designed to provide students with the essential skills and knowledge required to work as professional counselors in various settings. This qualification equips individuals with the ability to support clients through personal, psychological, and emotional challenges by applying established counseling methodologies. Students will learn to create a therapeutic relationship, use counseling techniques, and apply ethical and professional standards in their practice.

There are no formal entry requirements for this Diploma of Counselling course. However, Educube has additional entry requirements for this qualification;
- Demonstrated vocational competency in the counselling or related field.
- Successful completion of a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) assessment.
- Compliance with Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation, Australian standards, and industry codes of practice.
- A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Check.
Applicants who do not meet the standard entry requirements but have relevant life or work experience may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment to determine their suitability for the course.

How to Apply for a License
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) means an assessment process that assesses the competency/s of an individual that may have been acquired through formal, non-formal and informal learning to determine the extent to which that individual meets the requirements specified in the training package or VET accredited courses.
You can use a variety of evidence to apply for RPL. Our partnered RTO will assess the evidence to decide if further training or assessment is required.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Records of completed training
- Assessment items
- Assessment records
- Declarations from a student’s employer, and/or
- A copy of student records provided by ASQA.
