There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, Educube has additional entry requirements for this qualification;

• Students must be at least 18 years old.
• Language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills: Students should have sufficient LLN skills to complete the course. This may be assessed through a pre-enrollment LLN assessment.
• There are no specific educational prerequisites for this course. However, it is recommended that students have completed at least Year 10 or equivalent.
• While not mandatory, some prior experience or knowledge in healthcare or allied health may be beneficial for understanding course content and completing practical tasks.
• Students should have access to a computer with internet connection and basic computer skills, as well as the ability to use email and word processing software.
•  Due to the hands-on nature of the course, students should be physically capable of performing massage techniques and standing for extended periods.

Pathways

• Diploma of Salon Management
• Advanced Diploma of Hairdressing Management
• Short courses in advanced hairdressing techniques (e.g., bridal hair, creative colouring)
• Apprenticeships or work experience placements in high-end salons or with industry professionals
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment for those interested in becoming hairdressing educators or trainers

How to Apply for a License

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) means an assessment process that assesses the competency/s of an individual that may have been acquired through formal, non-formal and informal learning to determine the extent to which that individual meets the requirements specified in the training package or VET accredited courses.

You can use a variety of evidence to apply for RPL. Our partnered RTO will assess the evidence to decide if further training or assessment is required.
This includes, but is not limited to:

• Records of completed training
• Assessment items
• Assessment records
• Declarations from a student’s employer, and/or
• A copy of student records provided by ASQA.
