Age: 18 years or older.

English Language: Proof of meeting one of the following:

• Passed VCE English or VCE ESL at year 12 level or equivalent.
• Demonstrated sufficient LLN skills through pre-training review process.

Pre-Training Review: Evaluation includes assessment of:

• Language, Literacy, and Numeracy skills.
• Understanding of course structure.
• Computer literacy.
• Motivation for course enrolment.

• Completion of the general construction induction training program, such as CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, is required for construction work.
• This course is suitable for those interested in an Australian apprenticeship pathway.

• Access to a real or simulated workplace environment may be necessary for some assessments.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) means an assessment process that assesses the competency/s of an individual that may have been acquired through formal, non-formal and informal learning to determine the extent to which that individual meets the requirements specified in the training package or VET accredited courses.

You can use a variety of evidence to apply for RPL. Our partnered RTO will assess the evidence to decide if further training or assessment is required.

• Declarations from a student’s employer, and/or
• A copy of student records provided by ASQA.
