The SHB30221 Certificate III in Make-Up is a comprehensive qualification designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge required to work as a professional make-up artist. Throughout this course, students will learn various techniques and practices used in the make-up industry, including application of make-up for different occasions, basic hair styling, and client consultation skills.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, Educube has additional entry requirements for this qualification;
- Students must be at least 18 years old.
- Language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills: Students should have sufficient LLN skills to successfully complete the course. This may be assessed through a pre-enrollment LLN assessment.
- There are no specific educational prerequisites for this course. However, it is recommended that students have completed at least Year 10 or equivalent.
- While not mandatory, some prior experience or knowledge in healthcare or allied health may be beneficial for understanding course content and completing practical tasks.
- Students should have access to a computer with internet connection and basic computer skills, as well as the ability to use email and word processing software.
- Due to the hands-on nature of the course, students should be physically capable of performing massage techniques and standing for extended periods.

How to Apply for a License
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) means an assessment process that assesses the competency/s of an individual that may have been acquired through formal, non-formal and informal learning to determine the extent to which that individual meets the requirements specified in the training package or VET accredited courses.
You can use a variety of evidence to apply for RPL. Our partnered RTO will assess the evidence to decide if further training or assessment is required.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Records of completed training
- Assessment items
- Assessment records
- Declarations from a student’s employer, and/or
- A copy of student records provided by ASQA.
