The first mistake people normally make is assuming they have enough experience for such visas.
Generally, sponsored visas only require an applicant to have 2- 3 years of experience. That sounds easy, doesn’t it? However, immigration’s definition of “experience” in ways different than what we mean it should be! Immigration officers need to see proper evidence as detail as how many hours you work per week. Whether your experience gained before or after qualification and how well can you provide financial document during the working period! Therefore, we highly recommend you to seek with professional migration firm before considering what type of visa you are going to apply.
Keep yourself updated with migration policies!
During the past few months, we are surprised by the numbers of people asking if they are eligible to apply for a 457 visa!
As of 19 April 2017, the Australian Government has canceled 457 visa as well as made significant changes to the skills lists, namely the:
Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) replaced the previous ‘Skilled Occupation List’ (SOL)
Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) replaced the previous ‘Consolidated Sponsored Occupation List’ (CSOL).

Do research about the employer
Many applicants think they are completely secured as long as their employer promise for a sponsored position. That is not always true! Even though the employer agrees on giving you a sponsorship opportunity, you must find out yourself whether or not they are eligible to sponsor people on a working visa. In order to be an approved sponsor, the business must meet certain requirements set out by the immigration including annual profit, business size and the number of currents employees.
